What Readers Are Saying…

Thank you to every single reader who has left a review for my books – it’s really lovely to hear your wonderful comments.

‘A heartwarming, tear-jerking, masterpiece
What can I say? READ THIS BOOK! Go on, just do it! You seriously won’t regret it. I may have blubbed a bit (ahem … a lot) but I also laughed – a balance that is hard to achieve when writing about such a sensitive subject. It makes you reevaluate everything in life and you appreciate your loved ones more and more with every chapter. Life can be cruel, life can be too short. We must grab it with both hands and seize the day. This book teaches us this but with grace, humour and above all, compassion. A wonderful account and one that will stick with me forever.
Bravo!  You deserve to go far with this!”

Wow! An emotional, provocative and compelling punch of a read. This book actually floored me. The big, fat, ugly tears that I cried are best not spoken about. I nearly did a Joey, from Friends, by putting the story in the freezer (the only things that stopped me is that it’s on my kindle). The story focuses on Jane (a mum and a wife), who receives the worst news imaginable. This tells the heart-wrenching story of love and what you’d do to protect your own, including lying. The book is beautifully and sensitively written – it has humour and happiness to strike a good balance (and no doubt to save you from massively swollen eyes). The relationship between Jane and her best friend, Sarah, is one to be cherished. There’s nothing that they won’t do for each other and this is shown through the support that Sarah gives to the family. The closeness of these two women made my heart swell and hurt all at the same time.

There’s a twist that comes in the story, which you might see coming, but its impact is beautiful and well measured. I’d suspected something was coming, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on what. This book is all kinds of sadness and happiness in one. Be prepared to have tissues at the ready because you’ll need them. I highly recommend that you read this book. Just be aware of the trigger warnings: cancer and suicide, but know that they’re handled sensitively.

A big well done to the author on her debut novel – you’ve done yourself proud!

Wow… I full-on sobbed while reading this book. To the point, I had to have a break because the words were all blurry.
As a subject that is so close to my heart and my family, I felt it was so beautifully written and compassionately.

As someone who has experienced loss because of this monster of an illness, I felt it allowed me to have a slight insight into what the people I have lost felt during the last few months, weeks, and even days.

I loved Jane and her strength just poured out throughout the book. Although I disagreed with her decision to keep up with these reasonable lies to some extent I understand why she did it. The power she had to go through what she did alone was just empowering. I did find it hard to come to terms with how quickly everyone seems to get over the news but everyone handles things differently.

THAT PLOT TWIST!!!! I did NOT see that coming but I LOVED it! What an absolutely beautiful, heartbreaking twist.

I really enjoyed that the story continued to tell you more about Sarah and Janice. I liked the last chapter written from Cassie’s point of view, seeing where here and Robbie are in their lives.

This book has made me realize how important it is as a woman to check myself, I personally feel that mamograms should take place at a much younger age, as in this story if it wasn’t for an awareness day Jane would have never found out until the very end, leaving her no time to make them happy memories she did.

For anyone planning to read this book, and I highly recommend that you do as soon as possible, buy tissues with it!! Lots of them!!

Best ever book, really loved reading it, brought me to tears

Beautiful, well-written book

In a story that follows Jane as she deals with a shocking and unexpected diagnosis, we follow as she starts a series of lies to protect her family from the heartbreaking truth.

What starts as a charity fundraiser at the office leads to a life-changing discovery for Jane.

Balancing life, work, and keeping her secret how long will Jane be able to spin her web of lies before she gets caught out?

Visiting her father’s grave Jane meets James, who quickly becomes a friend, the support she needs. Seeing the friendship grow is such a beautiful addition to the story. Really heartwarming. It shows that sometimes you meet someone who will quickly become a key part of your life in the most unexpected of places when you least expect it.

This book covers an emotional topic so real in the world today in such a sensitive manner, so well written.

Although I’d figured out what I thought was going to happen by the end, this book still managed to catch me out with unexpected moments that left me reaching for the tissues. (Which happened on more than one occasion throughout)

It has such a beautiful ending that left me reaching for a tissue. It really was just beautiful, so well written.

This is a heartwarming story, a real page-turner, I did not want to put it down and stayed up into the early hours to finish it. While it’s a heartbreaking story that really pulls on the heartstrings it really is an amazing book and I would highly recommend it.

Honestly, even if it’s not what you’d usually reach for I’d definitely recommend you give it a go.

This is easily one of the best books I’ve read and T.A.Rosewood has definitely become my new favorite author.

5/5 I’d give it more if I could.

Also how beautiful is the cover!!

I read about 30 pages late one evening and put the book down reluctantly as I was tired. I picked it up next morning and read the rest of the book that day. Wow! I was into the story almost by the end of the first page. It’s a cracking read , a real page turner. An emotional story handled sensitively with some great characters. Well done T A Rosewood. Bring on the next one !

Wow!!! What a book!! Sometimes you read something and it touches every part of you. I can definitely relate to this one.

This has really hit a part of my heart, I’ve smiled and I’ve cried… A LOT!!

This is a book which needs to be read, a perfect example of not knowing what someone is going through. It’s made me think of all the “you seem fine” comments which are said daily. Yes a person may seem fine to everyone but you never know what they are truly facing.

This is such a beautiful read, with real life issues covered sensitively and delicately. A definite five star read, even though it made me cry. I’m excited to read more by this author.

If you’re looking for a book to read while isolating or going on Holiday when this is all over, I would highly recommend this book. Especially if you are a fan of Jojo Moyes books. It’s a book that will pull at your heart strings. Get your tissue’s and enjoy.

Hi Traci. Just to say I have just finished your book – read it in two sittings! Enjoyed it a lot. Janes struggle was highlighted really well and was very emotional at times. Well done on completing it and getting it published! Xx

I thought that I would be reading “Reasonable Lies” by T. A. Rosewood slowly over the weekend but I could not put this book down today. I was so emotionally vested in the main character Jane that I needed to know all the details of her life and those that she held near and dear to her heart.

Ms. Rosewood beautifully describes all the characters emotions and in doing so has the reader immersed in each characters life. This book was written with such passion that even as I write this I have tears rolling down my face. You will come to understand what one would consider a “reasonable lie” and how important it can turn out to be.

Thank you Ms. Rosewood for writing and sharing this magnificent book with the world. I give this book 5/5 stars and I highly recommend that if you are looking for a book about life, love, family, humility, joy, and yes even death, that you read this book.

Be ready to feel overwhelmed with emotion.

I stumbled across Reasonable Lies. And I am so happy about that. I just finished reading it in the last hour or so, and am finding myself just stopping and thinking. The realisation that I’m bloody lucky. The actual tears I cried for these exceptionally developed characters (this has happened only once before!) . The story covers love, heartbreak, friendship and relationships like nothing I’ve read before, along with the illness in itself. This is a beautifully written piece of literature that will stay with me and I’ll definitely recommend this to my friends and to any of you who haven’t already read it. If this ever got made into a movie, I’d be watching it! (Though I doubt it’d be half as good as the book ?) I’ll wait patiently for the next book from this exceptionally talented author.
