Harts Books and Reasonable Lies have become one.
The book store where my author journey started has said that they will stock some copies of Reasonable Lies and I’m so thrilled for this one especially because if I hadn’t gone to their store opening that evening, I may never have even written my debut novel at all, who knows?
When we moved to the area in 2015, the following year, local author and best-selling author, Jojo Moyes was invited to open the book shop in the town of Saffron Walden, Essex.
We are all for supporting independent shops, so we went along to see the opening and of course to see this well-known author and have a browse in this beautiful shop.
Little did I know that after that evening, I would become an author within a few years.
I was so inspired by her talk she gave about ‘Me before You’ becoming a Hollywood movie, I started to write my own novel that night.
The second time we met Jojo, was at Harts Books once again, where she was doing a talk on her new book, ‘The Giver Of Stars’ so during the Q&A session, we thanked her for her inspiration to me and she applauded me in front of everyone. How cool is that!?
Releasing my debut novel on the first-ever lockdown weekend in March 2020 was not only a challenge but a learning experience but I’ve loved the journey so far and am really looking forward to working with Harts Books in the future.
I may even do a book signing event there.
