Yesterday I had the privilege of attending the Linton Children’s Book Festival in Linton, Cambridgeshire.

The whole weekend was organised by Blakeney and her team of helpers.

It was held at Linton Village College and families came with their children to explore, play, learn and do activities with books.

On our stand, we had various colouring activities for the children including, ‘design a book cover’, ‘colour an astronaut and a fun word search. My husband and I had to freestyle the book cover activity as it was overwhelmingly popular.

So many of the children aged between 4-12 years old, were so inspiring with their book covers and the stories they imagined their future book to be – it really was so lovely to hear them talking like future authors and illustrators!

Several boys and girls stayed colouring for ages with us showing their creative talents and chatting.

Thank you to every single child and adult that came along to our stand – we hope you enjoyed the whole festival as we did.

A massive thanks to Blakeney for inviting me along and to Mel Symonds, another author who attended and for the initial introduction to the Linton Children’s Book Festival.
